Matthew's work has been produced by and/or developed with the Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate New York, Queens Theatre, American Globe Theatre, The Human Race Theatre Company, New Deal Creative Arts Center, Theatre Southwest, Camino Real Playhouse, Opera on the Go, Metropolitan School of the Arts (VA), Around the Block, Gulfport Community Players and Taber Players, and been featured in numerous festivals, including New York City 15 Minute Play (winning the Audience Favorite Award), National Alliance for Musical Theatre, and Cardiff International. Other honors include finalist for both Saints & Sinners Literary and Creede Repertory Theatre's Headwaters festivals, and shortlist for Hive North's OutStageUs showcase (UK). He is published by Playscripts and Off The Wall Plays.
A New York City native, Matthew is a graduate of LaGuardia High School of the Arts, and a Presidential Arts Scholar in Theatre. He earned a BFA cum laude in Music Composition from the State University of New York, and is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
